First and foremost I am a bird aficionado! I have lived and worked with birds for more than fifteen years and have several birds of my own that I enjoy caring for.

Many years ago I got my first parakeet from a friend who was moving out of the country. I was mesmerized and knew there had to be more information so I started reading all I could about birds. Later I fell in love with African Greys and knew I was "home." As my interest grew, I took a position as a hand feeder for Boston Exotics when they opened. That gave me more varied experience with all kinds of different birds.

In 1992 I became a Certified Veterinary Technician and worked at Littleton Animal Hospital until 2005 when I began working at Tufts Veterinary School in Grafton. I created Roost 66 in answer to the growing need for personalized, professional bird boarding in the area. Over the years it has grown into the facility you see here today.
